POSITION SUMMARY
The Programmer/Data Analyst requires a self-motivated, independent, and
analytical individual to maintain the organization’s proprietary database
management system. The position is responsible for continuing development and
refinement for both front and back end operations of the SQL Server-based, web
interface application. Other responsibilities include ensuring the integrity,
validity, and accuracy of data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the integrity of data input/output and take
corrective measures to address any inconsistencies
- Create ad hoc queries, exports, and reports for end users
as necessary
- Design, implement, and maintain scripts for automating the
integration of data from external sources
- Monitor and optimize system health, performance, and
operational manageability
- Identify improvements and modify SQL application and web
interface to deliver end user requirements, as well as propose plans for
future growth and enhancements
- Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery
plans, back-up strategies and procedures
- Provide technical support to end users
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
All of the following are required and considered critical elements to be
considered for the position (as noted):
- 2+ years of related experience, degree in Computer Science
preferred
- Proficient in T-SQL (Transactions, Stored Procedures) and
SQL Server Management Tools
- Experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008, .NET Development (ASP.NET),
and OOP
- Competent in all levels of n-tier web applications
development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2003/2007 (Word,
Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of other web related technologies (HTML,
CSS, XML)
- Knowledge in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining
Windows/SQL / IIS Servers
- Capable of adjusting to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
skills
- Able to work independently and deliver solutions
